Thank you for allowing me to turn off the Autoplay feature. I will be using this app far more frequently now.
Previous review:Please stop with the Autoplay. If I want to see the video, Ill click on it. It is especially annoying that the ad you cant stop plays first, with sound, even if the phone is muted.
Much cleaner, easier to use App upgrade! Nice job! Much better than the previous version.
Easy to view. I dont have to sit down and watch the news on TV. Get most or all the headlines here.
I love the NBC4LA app for the live car pursuits alone. The look and feel update in the newest release is probably an improvement for those who use the app for static articles, but the new app prevents video from going to landscape mode or "full screen".
PLEASE fix the app to allow landscape mode and Id give the app 5 stars.
This app is great and I love it! It does crash upon startup, so I have to restart it every time I want to see the news. I believe the issue is that it is not iOS 9 supported yet. It worked perfectly before the iOS 9 update. I have an iPhone 6 Plus, if that helps. The app is great, but will take about 20 seconds to start once you restart the app. Thanks!
There are some things I think could be better, but I do love the alerts, link to live TV and availability of information.
Some bad moments
There is no way to only get important notifications. Its either all or none. No one wants a notification about ANOTHER car chase or NBC investigative report. Quit bothering us with trivial things like that or I will switch to another stations app.
After tapping on push notifications for a specific article, app opens and just freezes. Wont load article. Cant even go back to the home page. Must kill the app, open it manually, then manually look for the article.
Removing due to app lock ups and auto playing adds every time a new article is opened. Force playing adds when I want to quietly read an article and not watch the video is BS.
One of the things I loved was that even if the news story had an accompanying video, I didnt have to watch the video. I could simply read the story. NOW you have sold out and decided that whether I want to watch the video or not, I will be blasted with a video ad at 10 times the volume of the actual news video. If I try to stop the video, I will be brought to the website for the ad. Im deleting this app.
Still cant even click a push news alert and have it load. It freezes and never loads. I dont know how hard it is to make a solid app, but neither do the programmers.
This app used to be decent. But now if you want to read a news story, a commercial automatically starts playing, and no way to stop it. Also breaking news stories often cause the app to crash. So I decided to delete the app. Oh yeah, love how their alerts come at times of the day and night. KTLA has much better app.
